Ittai ABRAHAM does research in Algorithms and Distributed Computing. He is a founding member of the VMware Research Group (dec 2014-), the VMware Blockchain Project (2016-) and the VMware Research Group in Israel (2016-). Prior to joining VMware, he was a researcher at Microsoft Research Silicon Valley (2008-2014). He hold a PHd in Computer Science from the Hebrew University. He has a broad interest in the areas of algorithms and distributed computing. His work spans from the theory of algorithms through the foundations of distributed computing to practical aspects in industrial research, algorithm engineering and distributed systems.

Dr. Chen Long is a Professor of Finance at CKGSB. From 2001 to 2008, Dr. Chen served as Assistant Professor of Finance at Michigan State University, where he received an Excellence in Teaching award in 2003. Dr. Chen serves as referee at numerous finance journals, including Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. Chen’s business exposure includes two years working in an import and export corporation in China and one year as a professional trader for the commodity futures market. He received his PhD in Finance from the University of Toronto in 2001.

 

 

Jean

Jean TIROLE, is honorary chairman of the Jean-Jacques Laffont - Toulouse School of Economics Foundation and chairman of the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse. He is also affiliated with MIT, where he holds a visiting position, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, and the Institut de France. Professor Tirole’s research covers industrial organization, regulation, finance, macroeconomics and banking, and psychology-based economics. Jean Tirole has published over two hundred articles in international reviews, as well as twelve scientific books. Published in English in 2017, his latest book entitled Economics for the Common Good is accessible to a wide audience and available in a number of other languages. He is laureate of numerous international distinctions, including the 2007 CNRS gold medal and the 2014 Sveriges Riksbank prize in economic sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel.
